Henry Schein was honoured to welcome Mrs Rachael Marape, Patron of YWAM Medical Ships – Australia & PNG and spouse of the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Hon. James Marape, to our annual Vision Conference. We were also privileged to host the Consul General of Papua New Guinea, Mr Reatau Rau, who joined us for this special occasion.
Mrs Marape’s visit was particularly meaningful, reflecting the deep and enduring partnership between Henry Schein and YWAM Medical Ships. For more than ten years, our organisations have worked together with a shared commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting communities across Papua New Guinea and the region.
During her time at the conference, Mrs Marape shared firsthand stories that highlighted the powerful impact of YWAM Medical Ships’ work and the difference that strong partnerships can make in delivering vital healthcare services to remote and underserved communities. Her insights offered a compelling reminder of the importance of collaboration, compassion, and long-term commitment in creating sustainable change.
It was a privilege for Henry Schein to host Mrs Marape and to hear directly about the outcomes being achieved through our longstanding collaboration with YWAM Medical Ships. The visit reinforced our shared values and our continued dedication to supporting initiatives that strengthen healthcare systems and improve lives.
We are grateful to Mrs Marape and Mr Rau for joining us at the Vision Conference and for the opportunity to celebrate the impact of our partnership with YWAM Medical Ships. We look forward to continuing this important work together and supporting communities for years to come.
